Baked French Toast

1/2 loaf French or Italian bread, cut in slices
4 eggs
1 cup milk
3/4 cup half-and-half cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup melted butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup

Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange the slices of bread in the bottom. In a large bowl, beat together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour over bread slices, cover, and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup; heat until bubbling. Pour over bread and egg mixture. Bake in preheated oven, uncovered, for 40 minutes. 6 servings.

This is great with berries, and whipped cream for dessert too!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

2 Bananas
4 tablespoons Peanut Butter
4 tablespoons (or more!) chocolate syrup
4 cups milk
6-12 ice cubes

In order, place all ingrediants blender. Pulse blender to crush ice cubes. Once smooth, pour in glasses. Garnish with a swirl of chocolate syrup on top.

If you want to be decadent, you can add some ice cream to this!

Ambrosia Fruit Salad

2 1/2 cups shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
4 oranges, peeled and sliced
2 grapefruit, peeled and sliced
1 pineapple, cut in chunks
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a large bowl, coconut, chopped nuts, fruit, marshmallows, nutmeg and cinnamon. Mix together well and refrigerate before serving.
