Bird of Paradise - Step by Step

1. The pencil drawing. I draw directly on the paper, and then erase lightly until the lines are barely there.
2. First washes are in green gold and aureolin. I try to stay pretty loose at this stage and don't worry to much about staying in the lines :)
3. Second layers in sap green, hookers, perm rose, winsor blue, gamboge
3. Blues into the shadows, tansparent orange on the flower.
4. Defineing shapes and shadows.
5. Finish by smoothing out lumps and bumps and the last of the darks.
